What Is My Screen Resolution? / Display Scaling / Browser Zoom / OS DPI Scaling

This is the world's most accurate web-based test for display resolution. This TestUFO screen can render at the native display resolution, compensating for browser/OS zoom. On most systems, you can see your native resolution or see your scale factor combined from browser zoom, pinch zoom, OS DPI, OS zoom, and accessibility zoom.

How to Achieve 1:1 Display Native Resolution in TestUFO

Specific display tests perform best at native display resolution. This test helps you verify that TestUFO is running exactly at your actual screen resolution.

  1. Configure your system (Windows/Mac/Linux) screen resolution setting to your display's native resolution; and
  2. Verify "Pixel Scale" on this screen is set to "1:1 Display Native"; and
  3. Verify there is "Scale: 100.000%" text in green; and
  4. Verify there are no scaling artifacts or banding in the background test pattern; and
  5. Go into full screen mode and verify "Resolution" matches your display's native resolution.
  • If there are scaling artifacts (moire / banding / gradients / chessboard), TestUFO was not displaying at native resolution. Adjust your system settings.
  • If using MacOS, set "Display Settings" to the "(Default)" resolution or to the highest resolution. Configure Safari to 100% Zoom, or use Safari in full screen mode.
  • If using Android/iPhone/iPad, undo any pinch-zoom to get 1:1 native display resolution.
