Mouse Poll Rate Test / Browser Mouse Performance

This mouse poll rate test can measure the report rate of your computer mouse. Most gaming mice can reach 1000 Hz, while some mice can go much higher in Hz.

1. Click to start poll rate test.
2. Move your mouse pointer very fast in a circle.
3. Your peak mouse Hz will appear.

Mouse Jitter Visualization / Ghost Trails Test

After this test starts, this screen also generates ghost trails of your mouse coordinates. It can help you visualize (to your eyes) your mouse jitter.

  • Desktop Jitter: The brighter yellow + marks indicates the VSYNC ON mouse coordinates (usually the poll nearest refresh cycle, best-effort basis).
  • Game Jitter: The darker green + marks indicate the VSYNC OFF mouse coordinates (raw coordinates between refresh cycles).
This test does both concurrently to help users who prioritize desktop use, or prioritize game use, or both. Try different poll rates, DPI, and other settings, to see how your mouse jitter changes! Also, if your system has power-management enabled, try Mobile High Performance Mode in TestUFO Settings (gear icon) to improve poll Hz.

IMPORTANT: Performance is affected by your browser. Your browser may not keep up at the full poll rate of high-end gaming mice. Also, if your mouse Hz is lower than your display Hz, you may have no darker green + marks. If the ordinary web browser keeps up with a gaming mouse poll rate, that is usually a very good sign system-wide. Also, you can right-click the mouse area to save a screenshot of your results.

Other Mouse Web Pages: In addition the existing Blur Busters Mouse Guide, there are other great dedicated mouse sites like Mouse-Sensitivity and CPS Test. Shout-out for creating good online mouse utilities. This UFO screen will display more supplemental benchmark data in the future so check back soon!
